Siete curiosi di vedere quanto sia cambiata Torino negli ultimi 50 anni?

La trama del film è conosciuta, se invece non la conoscete è un’occasione per vedere un vecchio e leggero film. Sia chiaro nulla a che vedere con il remake girato a Venezia nel 2003 con Charlize Theron

I tre protagonisti del film a bordo di tre Mini Cooper corrono nei meno probabili angoli e vicoli della nostra città,  permettendoci di tornare alla Torino della fine degli anni 60.

I portici di via Roma, la Chiesa della Gran Madre, la Stazione di Porta Nuova, la pista parabolica  del Lingotto ed  il tetto del Palazzo del Lavoro  sono solo alcuni dei luoghi  in cui è ambientato il film.

Posti rimasti  quasi del tutto identici ad allora: la città negli ultimi 40 anni,  non è cambiata poi cosi tanto., non fosse per Piazza Castello ancora aperta al traffico, la presenza di numerosi dehors sotto i portici di via Roma o i diversi locali siti ai Murazzi.

Il regista Peter Collinson scelse di girare proprio a Torino, perché già alla fine degli anni ’60, allora prima tra le metropoli europee,  disponeva veramente” di un centro di controllo computerizzato del traffico: un meccanismo che consentiva di disporre la cosiddetta onda verde tra i semafori.
